In a world

torn apart by

religion, strife,

and the sharp edge

of political knives,

I seek comfort

in the unity

created by heartbreak.

With each being 

different from the rest,

it’s funny that

every beat behind

every chest

creates the same symphony.

After all,

a broken heart
