Eyes
What did I see? Defiance, with a streak of fatigue. Trails running through a garden of scars, ridden with the blooms of new hope. A horizon so far, and so wide, it’s no wonder every new lover was welcomed with the thunder of her pride. What did I see? The debris of walls built and broken to protect that inner child. A wind blowing strong enough to take down an army with a touch so kind. And so now I know. It ’s no wonder they say the way to a woman’s soul are through the win

Electricity

The sudden head rush; That moment of “I think I have a new crush” . Complicated but it’s easy, because I gotta keep this hush-hush. Is this what it’s called? Rose-tinted, slightly queasy, You got me feeling the right kinda uneasy. So , is this what you call - - Is this what you call ‘Electricity’?

The significance of a new day means being able to start over and forget that any mistake I made would somehow be forgivable… maybe even forgettable. As an idealist with the mind of a realist, I was never able to grasp this notion. How do you wash away what has already been done? How do you bid goodbye to something that’s now been etched into that path people
